PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Operates a single, tandem or multi-axle configuration truck for delivery and/or pick-up of agronomy and/or energy products following specified time schedules to/from company or customer locations to achieve profitable business growth. Assists with maintaining physical inventory and physical aspects of assigned warehouse.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates all assigned vehicles, single, tandem, or multi axle configurations, forklifts, etc. in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes. Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products, safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or forklift truck.
Ensures loads are evenly balanced and distributed f rom the f ront of the trailer to the back and f rom side to side, as well checks axle weights and loads them in accordance with the DOT regulations.
Ensures that all deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules and performs duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the company and industry.
Ensures that all associated documentation, such as bill of ladings, delivery slips, and invoices are completed accurately and returned to the branch location at the end of the day in order to ensure timely receiving and payment of invoices.
Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo and any other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis.
Stocks and moves warehouse product and material. Maintains facility and equipment image.
Follows maintenance schedule of facility and equipment.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor trailer or tender truck equipment and to meet company and DOT standards.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development .
Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license with required endorsements and any other applicable certification, license or permit, valid medical card and satisfactory driving record, as applicable.
Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
Occasionally exposed or required to:

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loads and applies crop protection inputs to customer’s fields and grows crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels to maximize product performance and customer satisfaction.
Completes spray/application logs as fields are completed, noting any problems or concerns when they happened.
Performs routine maintenance on all facility equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and cleaning of application equipment as recommended in operators manual to maximize equipment reliability and service life.
Works with other location employees to maintain location, buildings, equipment, and property to enhance company image.
Deliver products to customers as required including assisting walk-in customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
Normally requires previous applicator or related experience and/or training to demonstrate the ability to custom apply fertilizers, crop protection products, and ag lime.
Proven professional communication and customer service skills and the ability to comprehend simple instructions, communicate one-on-one and in small groups with customers and other employees.
Ability to keep sensitive customer, business, and employee information confidential.
Demonstrated time management and basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals along with the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Understanding of basic computer skills as they relate to custom application business.

Job Title: Agronomy Operations Technician

Pay Range: $42,000 – $62,000
Position Summary : the Agronomy Operations Technician plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the cooperative’s agronomy department. This position is primarily responsible for operating the liquid and Dry fertilizer loading facility, accurately mixing and handling crop protection products and fertilizers, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, managing warehouse inventory, and supporting overall agronomy operations as a dependable team member.
Key Responsibilities • Operate the liquid and dry loading facility efficiently and safely • Accurately mix, load, and handle herbicides, pesticides, and liquid & Dry fertilizers according to labels, company procedures, and regulations • Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance requirements (EPA, OSHA, state regulations) • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment in the shop, warehouse, and surrounding areas • Manage and track warehouse inventory, including receiving, storing, rotating, and documenting products • Assist with inventory counts and reporting as required • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment, pumps, hoses, and facilities • Identify equipment issues and report major repairs to management • Assist other agronomy team members during peak seasons as needed • Promote teamwork, positive communication, and a cooperative-first attitude Qualifications & Skills • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) • Experience in agronomy, chemical handling, or agricultural operations is preferred but not required • Ability to safely handle chemicals and fertilizers • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills • Willingness to obtain and maintain applicable certifications/licenses (e.g., pesticide applicator ,CDL license )

Essential Job Functions
- Applies crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels
- Records application data according to regulations and standards
- Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for blending and delivery of products
- Blends products according to recommended rates and procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks and other equipment to meet company and DOT standards
